Adding Organic Twitter Follower: Let The Twittizens Know You Exist!

Search for Effective Methods in Adding Organic Twitter Follower:

Earlier I posted my intention to "Search for an Effective method in adding Organic Twitter Follower", Since I'm doing this on a brand new Twitter account (@johntechnotes), I have to do things like a Twitter beginner would or should to.

Disclaimer: I would like to emphasize that the method(s) that I will be posting here and on the upcoming installment are all experimental. I cannot guarantee that the methods will work, but I will be posting the results on my future posts and updates.

Search for Effective Methods in Adding Organic Twitter Follower:

Method 1 Let The Twittizens Know You Exist!

Since I made  a brand new Twitter account, no one else  knows it exist. Not yet. So the very first task that I need to do  is to let the Twittezens (Citizens of Twitter) know that such account exists. Here are some of the basic ways to do that:
  1.  Put a link on my blog or your website and social network page. The link would be https://www.twitter.com/<username>  in my case it's.: https://www.twitter.com/johntechnotes. Of course this would be effective only if I already have frequent visitors on my site or blog.  However, I believe it will help not only my twitter follower count but also the page view count of my blog (like this one). I also placed the link on my Facebook account.
  2. Follow other Targeted Twittezens. - This is my actual experiment. When you follow other users, they will get notifications that you are following them. The mistake I did when I had my very first Twitter account was I added users at random. DON'T! In this experiment, I followed targeted users or targeted users with the same interest as I do. T
    • On the search box, I entered the topic that I'm interested in: e.g. "Photoshop" (without the quotation mark " " and note, no hashtag '#').
    • Without the hashtag Twitter will present two categories, "Top People" and "Tweets". I clicked the  the "View All" link next to the Top People.
    • I Added the first 5 or so accounts (or how many you like). Since the top Twitter accounts are mostly company or business Twitter accounts, I added them but my actual target are the followers. (Check the #3)
    • I also added some users that are on top of  the Top Tweets category.
  3. Let Them and their Followers Know You are Following: After I followed  a user, I tweet them (@username). I greet them or  a message like, "hey, I like your tweets" or "you've got some cool links", or reply to one or two of their links. Just to let them know that I followed them and I'm following as an organic user, not a bot.
  4. Follow Back and Tweet That User saying Thanks. For those who follow me, I follow back (unless they don't have a clear info on their profile bio) and message them also.
This is it for now. I'll be keep on doing this and see what happens.

Thanks.
